Singapore Fireworks 2007

It was the Singapore Fireworks Festivals 2007 over the weekends. This event is a also part of Singapore's post-National Day Parade celebration. The participants were teams from Spain and People Republic of China. The event took place at the very same location where the national Day Parade 2007 was held, the spectacular floating platform at Marina Bay. By 7 o'clock in the evening, hundreds of photographers have already camped at their best positions waiting for the event to begin. Fringe activities kicked off at the floating platform for ticket-holders, at 8pm. By 9pm, people are already waiting for the que on 88.3FM. By 9.30pm, the first shot went up and spectators were enthraled in the 15-minutes long display of fireworks.
This the first time I participated in a fireworks shoot, hence please feel free to comment on my amateur-level pictures.

Busou Shinki: HOWLING - MMS #004 Type-DOG

I scored two BUSOU SHINKI 武装神姫 box sets during the 11th CraziestToy Sale. One of them is HOWLING MMS #004 Type-DOG, which I intended to take it out from the pristine packaging and give her a deserving photo shoot.
First impression of the Busou Shinki figure is the remembrance to Revoltech. The articulation can be arguably challenge that of Revoltech, but the joint-systems are poles apart. The Busou Shinki figure adopts a combination of ball-joints, rotatable stem joints and fixed riveted joints (similar to that of G2 Saber's elbow). The figure stands at 140mm, identical to that of the newer Revoltechs (such as RV27 EVA-02). The figure is self-standing on its own! and I love that! The best part of Busou Shinki is the customization possibilities. Each box set comes with a basic assembly instruction guide that proves that you are better off trusting your instincts. For the regular box sets, you get a cool stand that is useful for making flight poses. The main complaint that I have is the lack poor articulation after 'transformation', probably only for Howling. The bulky limbs and armour makes the swinging angles of the arms limited. The moveable claws seem rather useless as well. The heavy head tends to fall off easily. I have included a walkthrough gallery of the 'transformation'.
